Christchurch suburban train services - There are no suburban train services in Christchurch.

Regional Commuter Train Services

There is no regular commuter train services from Auckland to Hamilton or Hamilton to Auckland, except for the Northern Explorer train providing one train service between Auckland and Hamilton and between Hamilton and Auckland.

The Capital Connection and The Wairarapa Connection train services are regional commuter trains, so reservations are not available. Tickets for these trains are available from Tranz Metro ticket office - Wellington Railway Station, Masterton Railway Station, Featherston Railway Station and Palmerston North Railway Station or from the respective Train Manager's on the day of travel.

There are no suburban commuter train or rail services in Christchurch urban region or train services from Christchurch to Nelson, Christchurch to Queenstown, Christchurch to Mt Cook or Christchurch to Dunedin and/or Invercargill.
